When Anxiety Convinces You People Hate You, Try This
When anxiety tells you that no one likes you, try this:
Take a deep breath in through your nose, and out of your mouth.
Keep doing this. Your heart rate will slow down.
Repeat: “I am not as alone as I feel.”
Think of one person in your life that you can reach out to. Whether it’s to say hi, I love you, or I miss you.
Say it because you know what it’s like to feel alone. Notice how it feels good to give.
Ask: “My anxiety lies to me a lot, am I 100% certain this is true?”
Remember, just because you dislike your self right now…it doesn’t mean others feel the same.
