5 Step Approach To Managing Your Anxiety Right Now

If you’re feeling a little down or anxious today, I hope this helps you.

  1. First, tell yourself it is ok to feel the way you feel. Whatever the feeling is, allow it to happen. BE NICE to yourself!!

  2. ‍Then, take one deep breath in through your nose. Exhale slowly out of your mouth. (you can repeat this any many times as you need/want).

  3. Take a moment to check in. Have you eaten in the last three hours? Have you had water? Did you sleep last night? If you answered no to any of these questions, take care of yourself.

  4. Give yourself one compliment.

  5. Repeat after me: “I will be ok.”

This isn’t a cure. But I really hope it helps you feel better for even just a moment. What would you add to this list?
